WebDec 21, 2006 · There are kits out there from various sources to convert TR3 to rack & pinion. I haven't done it, but think most of these kits use a TR7 steering rack assembly. Some kits bolt right on and allow the car to be most easily returned to stock setup. Others require some welding, but are probably the stronger modification (when done right, of course!).
