I worked really hard in college, graduated in 3.5 years, had 4 internships, networked, had an active social life, studied abroad, etc etc. I graduated in December and am experiencing a burnout and depression like I’ve never felt in my life.
WebSpending time with friends and family. Eating well and therefore having energy. Working out and exercising (very protective against stress). Most importantly getting good sleep. But then because of increased demands (exam coming up) you start studying more. This studying drains your energy and takes up time. WebA good manager should recognize signs in their team members when they need a stretch assignment to get out of a rut or are burnt out from a particular statement of work and need a change of pace or a sabbatical (if offered) or encourage and protect them using time off.
Web4 year old has something he needs to say to me. I tell him "I need a minute to go grab your lunch box" and duck inside while he's out in the front yard. This makes him mad, so he takes the stroller that's in the front yard and, unlocks it, and attempts to roll it into the street, just to get a rise out of me. WebEat something. Get oxygen into your brain with a 5 min exercise. Good luck. Set a timer for 25 minutes of studying then break for 5 then repeat 3 times. After an hour take a 15 minute break and repeat. Hope this helps. It can be difficult to keep going, but it is important to take breaks and find ways to stay motivated.
